Sunday Experience
The divine services are a time of heartfelt worship and fellowship, filled with uplifting and contemplative music, sincere prayer, life-giving sermons, and the celebration of Holy Communion - all shared within a beautiful, holy liturgy.
Worship
Through worship, we come to a deeper, personal understanding of who God is, recognizing what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will continue to do in our lives. Congregational singing allows each person to actively engage in shared worship, often complemented by choir, ensemble, and solo pieces. This time before the sermon also invites prayer and reflection, helping to strengthen our relationship with God and grow in our knowledge of Him.
Opening Hymn
We stand and join together in singing this hymn. Then we hear the invocation, which assures us of God's triune presence, and join in prayer.
Sermon
During the divine service experience, we are brought into fellowship with God through His word and sacrament. As the word of God is faithfully preached, it not only reveals our sinfulness and our deep dependence on God’s mercy but also speaks directly into our daily lives with clarity and purpose. The preached word makes God’s truth relevant to our present circumstances, shaping our hearts and guiding our actions, so that we may live as bright lights in a dark world.
Then we are called to repentance and confession, recognizing both the need for our Savior and forgiveness that is already ours through His grace.
Repentance Hymn
The congregation is invited to use these moments to contemplate and pray, focusing on our repentance and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Lord’s Prayer
We stand together to pray the prayer that Jesus taught us. The Lord's Prayer, communally spoken by the congregation, expresses our dependence on God and His grace, reminding us of God's rule in our lives, and prompting us to turn away from sin and align our lives to Christ.
Absolution
The absolution is an assurance of forgiveness spoken over us each week, so that we can be confident that when we repent and confess our sins to God, He will wash them away.
Eucharistic Prayer
In this prayer, we give thanks to God for Christ and His sacrifice.
Holy Communion
Through the consecration, the body and blood of Christ are joined with the bread and wine. In this sacrament, we stand at the foot of the cross and are reminded of Christ's suffering and death and profess Him. Holy Communion is the central part of our divine service, and is celebrated every Sunday. Those who are baptized and believe in Jesus Christ are invited to participate in the sacrament; however, there is no obligation.
Prayer of Thanksgiving
In this final prayer, we offer gratitude for grace and forgiveness, for God revealing Himself to us in His word, and for the opportunity of a new start.
Benediction
This blessing sends us back into the world with the hope of the gospel. We respond in agreement with the singing of the Three-fold Amen.
Thanksgiving Hymn
This final hymn is an expression of our acceptance and thanksgiving for God's word and His sacrament and gives us one more opportunity to praise God together.

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.

On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
